A theme and discuss / write how that theme is developed in Macbeth
A theme for scene 4 in Macebth is that power can make a person greedy and ready for more. MacBeth, who grew power hungry after killing Duncan become King, let the taste of power go to his head. MacBeth went on a brutal killing spree just to get to the top. He framed Duncan's Knights as if they murdered their beloved king. As soon as MacBeth came to his senses, he let his bullying wife belittle him enough until he went back on the killing spree. MacBeth must have thought that his reign would last forever, but it didnt because MacDuff must have wanted to taste the power too because he came to contest MacBeth. In conclusion, scene four's thematic symbol happens to be that the taste of power can make you power hungry.
